Drag & Drop

golive supports drag & drop within documents, between golive documents and between golive and third party applications which also support drag & drop in both directions. Drag & Drop between golive documents and the Finder is also supported.

To drag a part of your document to another place, select it with the mouse and keep the mouse button pressed. Releasing the mouse button means dropping the selected part at the current location. You can even drag a selected part of a golive document into the trash can of your Finder, which means that you delete it from the current document. To drag a copy of a selected document part to another location, press the option key during the operation.

Basic Palette

As you can see in the Palette window, you can drag & drop images with different text justification, solid and shaded lines, HTML comments, JAVA applets, Netscape(TM) Plugins, QuickTime(TM) Movies, Quickdraw3D(TM) files and Shockwave(TM) files. Double clicking on the element opens it for editing or modification. Files which are not in image or HTML format are inserted as embedded objects.

Forms Palette

In addition to the basic Palette, you can switch to the forms Palette, which offers drag & drop for text and password fields, submit, reset and radio buttons, check boxes, scrollable text fields, item lists and popup menus. To learn more about golive forms, take a look at the forms page.
